What a future for Ukraine - fodder for a constantly-evolving meatgrinder! If the slow march to WW 3 leads to actual not-so-dreaded-by-the-West hostilities, any future history books may need to be chiseled on stone tablets, possibly while WW4 is fought with "sticks and stones" as in Einstein's famous quote: Ich bin [mir] nicht sicher, mit welchen Waffen der dritte Weltkrieg ausgetragen wird, aber im vierten Weltkrieg werden sie mit Stöcken und Steinen kämpfen.

I can't read the German, but it's generally translated as something like: I am not sure with which weapons the third world war will be fought, but in the fourth world war they will fight with sticks and stones.
Excellent article! One typographical observation… at the beginning of the article you refer to Roland Walker: later in the article you call him Ronald. I believe the former is correct.
To your point about the stated desire for the continuation of the conflict. It’s clear that the west and NATO - at least as currently represented - are never going to stop their proxy war while they can still plausibly deny the status of co-belligerent and avoid the attendant consequences.
It’s so depressing. Even after a Ukrainian collapse, many envisage a shift to state sponsored terrorist proxies (Isis-K etc) to continue the conflict. Is talk by RUSI and others just empty rhetoric or is this really indicative of how things will go?
True! Good catch. It's Roland, and apparently, he even goes by Roly, public school style. And yes, I also fear that the current West is still very obstinate about this. Before the escalation of 2/2022, there were even leaked stories about the CIA getting ready for supporting an insurgency. That sort of crap. On the other hand, if the T-Rex wins and really cuts the proxy war loose, the EU-ians alone won't be able to keep it up.
Is it even worth commenting what Ukraine Nazis say? Better to focus perhaps how to end the carnage in middle of Europe - once for all.
And — that absolutely requires de-Nazification…
What can we do? If we stop commenting on everyone in the Ukrainian elites who is either far-right, under the influence, or just deluded, who's left?
OK — I just found about accelerated inflation in Russia - central bank interest increased to 18%.
War and sanctions are having their negative effect — implications for future…..?
