Iran is an International Force for Sanity, Justice, and the Rule of Law
Rationality lives in Tehran.
Last night, Iran did what had to be done. It retaliated against the criminal Israeli attack on its diplomatic premises, where Tel Aviv carried out one of its regular murders-across-borders, this time of high-ranking Iranian officers and officials as well as other victims (let’s not forget them). With the Iranian drone and missile strike, Israel, for once, has been held responsible according to standards that are binding by law. For once, Israel has not simply got away. The magic of Israeli impunity has not worked.
Whatever you think about Iran’s domestic politics, this perfectly legal and legitimate act of self-defense – under the terms of customary international law and the UN Charter as well – is a rare fragment of healthy normality in a world that has been turned into a lunatic asylum by the joint efforts of the genocidal apartheid regime in Tel Aviv and its Western backers, accomplices, and co-perpetrators, with Washington in the lead.
