Aaron Bushnell was not the first. Norman Morrison, a Quaker and the father of 3 young children, lit himself on fire and perished outside the Pentagon in 1965 over the US war on Vietnam. Robert McNamara saw this from his office as he relates in the Errol Morris documentary. So the war machine grinds on. Only organized millions can end its rule.
Very well said: he is a true hero, a real human being atune with life and dignity, showing the lack of moral compass of western countrys. He shows how we are burning all in dispair of the atrocitys being unstoppable commited in Gaza and all Palestine, burning of rage against the political class and all the international organizations bla bla bla and solemnly protocol to set neverending jurisprudencial records, meanwhile massacre after massacre after massacre beat our souls every day since last october....and before. We must honor him: a beacon of sensibility, courage, generosity and consciusness.
Aaron Bushnell was a decent man living in an indecent world. May his extreme act of protest resonate far and wide. Brian Berletic, himself once a US serviceman too, spoke in a profoundly moving way about Aaron Bushnell in his latest commentary, calling for us not fall into despair and nihilism. I cannot recommend it highly enough: https://odysee.com/@LandDestroyer:8/aaron-bushnell's-extreme-act-of-protest:2
It just goes to show the major problem with the US and their guns, as pointed out, Aaron was no threat to anyone and yet instead of helping him the security guard pulls a gun on him as he is burning.
I'm not sure what I expected, its is inline with the US and Israeli genocide. If you are against their war crimes and Genocide, don't expect any help, don't expect the truth to be told, I have already seen mainstream media, Zionist and Arab hating people already poisoning the truth by calling him a traitor and a terrorist supporter.
Those of us who don't support the genocide and war crimes the US and Israel wage on most continents, will remember the truth about Aaron and his sacrifice to bring attention to the slaughter of Gazans. May he rest in peace.

Thank you Cyril for this moving tribute, which I am translating for a publication in honour of Aaron Bushnell among other texts

I posted this because Max Blumenthal mentioned Norman on the Gray Zone Youtube stream yesterday -along with the unnamed woman in Atlanta.
